Function

View video and results recorded with other SwimWatch software like the SwimWatch Race Analyzer software - freeware

Depending on the program and the way it is used, athletes and coaches may want to review video and/or results that have been recorded with other SwimWatch software. All this data can be reviewed without limitation and without cost by using the Viewer software.

The old version

Below screenshots of two modes of version 3. The first mode is the Import mode, which allowes the coaches and athletes to import video and data that was recorded or created by other coaches or analysts.

The following screenshot shows the View mode with a race that was recorded and analysed earlier using the SwimWatch Race Analyzer software. The selected page shows the video and the stroke frequencies of the swimmer. Depending on the distance and the variation of the Race Analyzer being used, over 100 parameters can be shown.

While showing the results of the analysis you can play the video along side the tables. You can also show other combinations, including graphs. You can play the race at different speeds and frame by frame. Loops can be set and it is easy to jump to the start, to the next turn, to the finish, etc. All the buttons can be triggered by the keyboard as well.

The following screenshot shows the View mode with a start that was recorded and analysed earlier using the SwimWatch Start Analyzer software. The selected page shows the video and the landing data of the swimmer. It is possible to select or deselect graphical lines in the upper right corner. Depending on the variation of the Start Analyzer being used, over 100 parameters can be shown.

The new version

The new version is almost ready and will be available on this website shortly. Below is a short video of the first beta version.

Compared to version 3, the current beta version already has a few improvements:

• More detailed settings for video playback
• Viewer: column graphs (included in version 2 but not in version 3, so they're back)
• The start screen shows whether a new version is available for download
• Various small improvements

The upcoming improvements are currently planned to be implemented before version 4 is released:

• Different views / themes, including a 'dark mode'
• Smoother switching between modes and video images (less flicker)
• For the Delay: a layout that shows video in maximum size
• For the Delay: an option to automatically select the same camera and start the delay when the program starts
• Online registration and subscriptions, more info will follow

The new version The old versions were designed to work with an SD resolution and with 25 frames per second. In 2018 the development of new versions of the existing products has started, which will work with HD resolutions and a framerate of 50 fps at the very least. But in the meantime people are talking about 4K and 8K video. Keep visiting this website so you do not miss the upcoming version 4 of this product!
